Ian Finch, BSc (Hons) MAusIMM – Managing Director
Mr Finch's career in the mining and exploration industry spans over 40 years, commencing with his extensive work throughout Southern Africa between 1970 and 1981.Mr Finch returned to Australia to hold Principal and Chief Geologist roles at CRA Exploration and Bond Gold, respectively, where he was instrumental in the discovery and development of several new gold and copper/gold resources in Australia. In 1993 Mr Finch established Taipan Resources Ltd., which pioneered exploration for large gold deposits in the Ashburton district of Western Australia. In 1999, Mr Finch founded Templar Resources Ltd., which is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian listed Goldminco Corporation. In 2006, Mr Finch established Trafford Resources Ltd. to explore for iron oxide, copper, lead-zinc, silver, gold and uranium deposits at the Wilcherry Hill project, located within South Australia’s Gawler Craton. In 2007, Trafford established a then 50% owned subsidiary, IronClad Mining Limited, to explore, develop, mine and market the Wilcherry Hill iron ore project. Mr Finch is currently Managing Director of Trafford and Executive Chairman of IronClad.
Neil McKay – Director and Company Secretary
Mr McKay, a former Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, has been involved in the resources industry for over 30 years. Mr McKay has been Company Secretary for several listed public companies in the resources sector, and held senior administrative and accounting positions for a number of other resource companies. Mr McKay has operated as an independent consultant since 1995, specializing in the incorporation and administration of resource companies with special focus on South East Asia. For the last two years Mr McKay has divided his time between Australia, where he consults to various public companies, and South East Asia where he continues his involvement. Mr McKay is currently a Director and the Company Secretary for Trafford, and a Director of IronClad Mining Ltd.
Mark Le Grange – Director of Exploration
Mr Le Grange has 15 years mining and exploration experience in South Africa, Madagascar, Indonesia and Australia, working in gold, platinum, base metals and iron ore. His broad based experience includes positions for companies such as Ivanhoe Mines and Lonmin PLC and includes 8 years of platinum exploration in South Africa. Mr Le Grange was an integral part of the team which took the Akanani Platinum Project from initial exploration drilling to a multibillion dollar underground development which was sold in 2006 to Lonmin PLC, with a 30 million ounce PGM + Gold resource. Mr Le Grange joined Trafford Resources as Chief Geologist In July 2008, and is also Chief Geologist for IronClad Mining Ltd.
