Weednanna Gold Project

Drilling further established a gold mineralisation system coincident with a north-northwest trending magnetic anomaly as well as the gold in calcrete. At the time the tenements were relinquished by Aquila, Weednanna was still considered to be one of the best targets for mineralisation but was poorly understood.
The final holes drilled by Aquila in 2004 were based on a geological interpretation by Ravensgate in which it was suggested a northwest trending fault extension to the main skarn zone, west of the main magnetic anomaly, would be a suitable target for drilling. Results were disappointing, Trafford acquired the tenements and drilling at the prospect started again in 2006.
Trafford drilling was focused to the west of the magnetic anomaly where grade had been previously drilled. Results surpassed those recorded by previous drilling with a highlight intersection of This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it /t Au.
Recent re-processing of available geophysics at the prospect however has highlighted a corridor which Trafford believe could be the structure that Trafford have been trying to detect following the highlight intersection from 2006. The structure, which has not yet been drill tested will be targeted in an upcoming Reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign.
Apart from Trafford's flagship Wilcherry Hill Projects Weednanna and Telephone Dam, there are many other exploration prospects in the area with a variety of target commodities including Gold, Silver, Copper, Lead/Zinc, Manganese and Uranium.
